The main objective of the WAGON2Africa project is the creation of a network between Italian and African universities, aimed at promoting academic cooperation and the sharing of best practices, with a strategic focus on the Water-Energy-Food Nexus (WEFN) and its multiple implications. The complexity of this topic requires a global, integrated, and multidisciplinary approach, capable of addressing the interconnections, synergies, and interdependencies that characterize the processes of production and consumption of water, energy, and food resources.
In this perspective, the project is structured around four main thematic areas: :
- Science, technology, and digitalization
- Economics, business, and management
- Human, social, and legal sciences
- Sustainable agri-food systems, natural resources, and bioeconomy
